exodus 35

Question
Answer
Note---10-02-2016

It seems that Moses had not communicated the commandments to the children of Israel before now. The account which is in Exodus 20, is the communication between Moses and God and not the children of Israel and God.

It is interesting that as Moses communicates what was said to him in the mount, he does not start with the commands as highlighted in Exodus 20, but instead starts with the Sabbath command. This must be an indication of its importance.
Is this Moses’ words, or did God tell Moses such?
See verse 4
2)Note that Moses says that if the Sabbath is broken, the soul that breaketh it shall die.

Moses requests materials to make the sanctuary. The people gave willingly.

It seems that God puts in the heart of the masons/artificers the knowledge needed to build at that appointed time. It is not clear whether these men knew that they had the knowledge before.
